Painting the Seasons

Hey everyone,

I guess I sorta was wrong about when I'd get around to telling you the rest of my life story :P. Oh well. Hopefully soon... this post however should appease you until that moment!

I painted something the past two nights after work, and although it is not "quite" finished I think it is presentable enough to show to the world. So here goes...

I know I know... it's not the best photo ever but I think this looks decently presentable :D
Red: Summer   Yellow: Fall   Blue: Winter   Green: Spring
So I got my inspiration on... I know... Pinterest and it was actually really easy from there. You can find my pin here. I'm sure anyone could do this painting. All it is is a background of fading colors, a tree sketched in pencil, then painted in black, and then some added browns for dimensions  After that it is just swirls of colors, adding whites and blacks, maybe some more color. Honestly I thoroughly enjoyed this and there wasn't much thought process to go along with it, except for if I needed a splotch of color in a corner or something.

So yeah, I used canvases from Welk-Mart (a dollar store), some decent paint brushes and one really stiff, small short bristly brush. A paint pallet or something that you can mix your colors on, and the primary colors, black, and white, with a few twists like a teal, brown, as well as some different greens. Oh and don't forget some good lighting, some paper towel, newspaper to line your counter top, as well as a glass or jar with water to clean your brush. And ta-da.

My only dilemma right now is how to do the sides. You can't see it in the picture, but I failed to carry the background all the way down the canvases, and so I have to decide if I want to try and duplicate the background, or if I should just paint it black on the edges. I shall have to figure it out :)

Y'all have a great night and I shall talk to you soon!

(P.S. Don't forget to check out my pin board and create your own account. It is crazy addicting and you can get some great ideas on there! God Bless!)
